(More customer reviews)I spent $29.95 and downloaded Panda Security Pro from Panda's website. This is a cloud-based antivirus program that I understood should complement standard definition-based anti-virus programs. It immediately came in conflict w/ Webroot which I already had on my PC and caused an slmost unrecoverable crash. With great difficulty I was finally able to restore my computer by creating a new ID and using my restore disk which returned it to factory settings. Of course everything on the computer was lost. Fortunately I had written down my activation code and client #. As I had used the free version of Panda in the past together w/ Avast! antivirus, I decided that I would use that combination again. Panda would not activate, sending an error message that the code was in use on another machine (absolutely false--same machine, same IP).
I sent an email to tech support which responded only w/ an email w/ the same non-working identifying info I already had. I called customer service who said that b/c the program had been downloaded, I had "used" it and that the service agreement I had signed said that it would not be restored if it had been "used". The agent said "we can not give a refund". I even lodged a complaint w/ my state's Consumer Protection Board who got the same non-functional info Panda had given me.
I did not have a second of use for my $30, and Panda didn't even have the decency to offer a discount coupon. Instead the customer service became abusive and threatened to hang up on me. This company has nothing but contempt for its customers, and is running a racket w/ its downloads. If you buy, pray that your copy never becomes corrupted, or incompatible w/ anything else normally in use, b/c if it does, you are out of luck.
