(More customer reviews)With over 30 years computer experience, both as a project manager and an enterprise architect, I have had the opportunity to use a plethora of tools - especially for methodology and analysis/design purposes. I always enjoyed Visio as a cheap option on simpler projects, but it lacked integration and a number of templates.
This is no longer the case - Visio Premium 2010 has everything a developer needs, plus more. It also has the benefit of being reasonably priced compared to some of the premium packages out there. I have yet to find any bugs - major or otherwise, and the templates are extendable. Probably one of the best products I've ever seen from Microsoft and showing obvious improvement compared to their buggy software of a decade ago. Note: If you need to use Visio for development purposes, you really need the premium.
I note that an earlier review loved the product but hated the ribbon. The ribbons are here to stay, and one you're used to them you realize why they are used - There are too many functions for a menu/submenu system to cater for, plus the ribbons are dynamic ... I'm really starting to love them.
For any developer this is a must!
