(More customer reviews)This program works as well as Dragon Naturally Speaking Preferred. I have used both recently and find the performance to be very similar. There are some changes in the manipulation of the programs but once you get used to the changes it is easy to use. I am quite impressed with both programs. The IBM is far superior in two ways; First, the IBM USB converter loaded the first try perfectly. The Dragon USB would not load reliably, which is why I ultimately switched. With the USB digital input working the sound quality is better and hence the recognition is more accurate. Secondly, the IBM program has more bells and whistles for the price. It has more high level word processor capabilities, macro features and template features. To get similar features in Dragon you have to go to the $600.00 version. They both still make mistakes, but much better than all the previous versions. The mistakes tend to be in the simple words like "as" types instead of "has", or "and" instead of "an". It does a great job with the bigger words, and will learn your technical words easily. If you let it review any previously written pages it will learn your style. I use it to do all my medical notes and it is saving me thousands of dollars in transcription fees. Highly recommended
