Restaurant Empire is great because it puts you in the role as the character, a new chef starting out. You arrange your first restaurant as you want it, decorate it, create the menu, etc. and then service your customers. You are also involved in a storyline, which is why I love it. It's not just a tycoon game, but involves strategy & role-playing. There are contests to win, you get to travel to other cities & start more restaurants, & ultimately, you are trying to conquer another restaurant company that has taken over the market. It's full of interesting characters & other chefs that you can hire to help your business along. I highly recommend this game!

(More customer reviews)Diner Dash 2 is more exciting and adventurous than the original. If you're a fan of the original, you will probably like this one as well. It starts out as a big company trying to take over 4 restaurants and they all have one thing in common. They are friends with Flo. She helps them gain money for their restaurant to get upgrades. There is an upgrade after you complete every level and if you get the expert score on that level, you unlock a special upgrade.
The restaurants are an outside cafe, a pizza place, a Mexican restaurant, and a Suishi restaurant. Then, there is a surprise restaurant in the end.
This game introduces new concepts that the first didn't. There is the introduction of serving appetizers and deserts. There are also new types of people including families which you have to give high chairs too and they might make messes so you have to use a mop. The other types of people are business woman, senior citizens, bookworms, and cell phone addicts. There are also plenty of new upgrades including a podium to keep waiting customers happy and a bar to sit people at.
This game is filled with new adventures and new people. If you like the first one, you will definetly like this one because it is more challenging and it has a change of scenery after every 10 levels.
