1)If you're going to produce a video series about MySQL please make sure that an actual database expert, a DBA and not a developer, takes cares of it
2)Be sure to produce something that is at least remotely useful, not a cursory review of the subject.
This title starts with the usual stuff about installing xampp to get PHP & MySQL. Fine, the subject is actually just MySQL but well seeing it in action with PHP would not hurt as a bonus, right? Well it would if MySQL did actually get a decent treatment, which it never does! You just get a superficial review over a ridiculously small subset of MySQL data types and functions. Not a single activity or area is ever , ever covered in sufficient detail to actually teach you something useful. Neither table creation, nor querying, nor updating, nor database design and forget about indexing or performance considerations.... nothing at all! I really could not believe this! And after this ridiculously simple review the author surpasses himself by trying ( and I think succeeding..) in beating the world record of the fastest and most cursory presentation of php database querying with mysqli and PDO. The whole mysqli section takes something like 14 minutes, and the PDO one about 7!!! Basically the authors shows some quick screenshots of an application that uses first mysqli and then PDO, but he doesn't develop the code under your eyes, he does not even explain half of it.. you basically just get to know that he used this and that in the application and that these techiques do exist..
Come on.. you gotta be kidding me!
I know this title is sold for a third of the usual price, but still.. it's really worth nothing at all! To the publisher and to the author: seriously, aren't you ashamed of authoring and publishing such useless *c*r*a*p*???
