(More customer reviews)In the past 2D computer art was too perfect. It lacked the hand of the artist, the interesting look only natural media could lend. While not perfect Painter gets as close as you can get without actually having to clean brushes. Colors can be mixed that have variations in tone and color. Paints can mix and smear with underlying color. An airbrush can spit and splatter or be perfectly smooth. Watercolors blend and soak into the paper.
Where Painter really shines is with the use of a graphics tablet like Wacom Wacom Intuos3 6X8 Pen Tablet. You can almost smell the turpentine.
