(More customer reviews)I've had this software for 2 years, starting with the 2007 version. 2 free upgrades later, it's about the same as 2007. I use this mostly to rip home recorded DVDs to my iPod. When it works, it's fantastic, and does everything it says it will do. About 20% of the time, however, it doesn't work, and there's nothing you can do about it. You'll still get your audio and video, but it will be grossly out of sync.
The newer versions come with controls you can use to refresh the computer's sync rate as you rip the DVD. The problem is that these controls do absolutely nothing. You can adjust the settings any way you please, but you will get the same out of sync rip every single time. It even goes out of sync at the same point in the video each time. This holds true no matter how many times you try to rip the DVD.
The one thing I need to retrieve from my iPod is my playlists, but there isn't a function for this in a program that appears to be able to retrieve everything else. Overall, it's very convenient, but I just think there are better programs out there.
