(More customer reviews)When the laptop was stolen (it was in a backpack in an unlocked car) we contacted Lojack. (Keeping the box is helpful to remind yourself that you have Lojack on the laptop, but all the info is on the website.) They told us to file a police report and to give them the report number. We did. We could contact Lojack for status reports. They put us in touch with the LAPD detective, who called us when he got a search warrant and then called to say he had the laptop. It took four weeks. We only got back the laptop, not the backpack with the peripherals and other stuff, but we were very happy to get the laptop back. I recommend Lojack for Laptops.
After you install it, you can go to the Lojack website to see whether Lojack for Laptops is operational on your laptop(s).
