(More customer reviews)I do not know what has happened to this program but I have been a long time user of Power desk from Mijenix, then Ontrack and now Vcom days, but powerdesk pro 6 is so poorly written with so many bugs that it cannot function properly. As well here are things other users should be aware of:
1) Version 6 has dropped the toolbar - there is an addon that they do not support and which does not run properly.
2) Version 6 is incredibly slow to low network files whether they are mapped or not. Compare it against other software such as windows own explorer or explorerplus and you will be shocked at the terrible lack of speed.
3) Tech support has not answers for the issues except to blame the user or their computer. Their suggestion - reinstall windows XP and stay away from SP 1 or 2 - This is bogus
4) Layout manager which is an awesome add on - does not work all the time and is therefore unreliable. Some layouts function others don't and again their tech support have no answers.
5) Size manager crashes often and amazing can lock up WIndows XP to the point of having to shut it down manually.
6) Sometimes it will not release windows XP explorer but instead insists on remaining as windows explorer even though the user has turned it off.
There are many more issues I could go over but be warned.This software needs to be rewritten.
