(More customer reviews)I'm not sure why other people have had issues with this. I bought a new computer that does not have a firewire port or a PC Card slot. This was the only thing I could find that could take firewire input to usb output. My DV Camera was recognized right away and I was able to capture video at great quality (looks the same as videos I've captured with a computer that had a firewire port).
