(More customer reviews)A couple of days ago I ran into some serious problems with my recipe software and started looking around for a new one to replace it. I happened upon this recipe software, downloaded it, and set about trying to convert my old program's recipes to the new format. My first attempts were fruitless so I posted to their forum and was quickly contacted by the staff who didn't just tell me how to fix it, they actually FIXED IT FOR ME. These guys are incredible! The previous reviewer who said their customer service is top-notch wasn't blowing smoke. I've never, ever had customer service this good. EVER.
And the program? It's terrific. I haven't had one problem with it. The nutritional database is vast and comprehensive, and it's not filled with nutritional data on processed food products (like my old software was), either. It actually has nutritional information for raw, whole foods.
The interface is very user friendly. It's clean and familiar and logically organized. Everything functions seamlessly.
I'm a professionally-trained chef and I'd recommend this to anyone--home and professional cooks alike!

Paragon Hard Disk Manager 2011 Suite Review

(More customer reviews)I purchased this suite to migrate my HDD to SSD, because of claims that it also automatically aligns the SSD. Upon first use, it froze my laptop, causing me to have to restore. I reloaded the software and tried again, same result, causing a second restore. The worst aspect was that the open window continued to show the rotating icon as if the program was working, when it had actually frozen the entire computer. I used Acronis 2011 to clone and then aligned the SSD with Gparted Live, a free program. Don't waste your money on Paragon. You can get the same utilities with Gparted Live and EASEUS Partition Master, both FREE and which works, unlike Paragon.

Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 12: The Masters Review

Graphics are stunning. Offers both the main Augusta National course and the Par 3 course.
Cons:
Requires installation of Origin online gaming program before installation of TW12. Does not have printed manual and CD-Rom manual is very poor. There is no guide to show one how to properly play the game. One must learn by trial and error. Most features, such as the pro shop, are only available online. Only 3 click or true swing shot making are available. There is no 2 click. One can only play an exhibition round as a guest offline. There are no computer golfers or any way to play against the computer. The only commentary offline is Jim Nantz's fly by preview of each hole. An internet connection is required even though one does not want to play online. As most stores do not carry this version, it should be fully advertised as extremely limited except for online play.
Conclusion: I told EA Sports that failure to offer TW12 for PC and also PSP would be a slap in the face to those of us who have faithfully supported prior PC and PSP versions of the Tiger Woods series because of the inclusion of the long awaited Masters. It is still a slap in the face and an insult. Tiger Woods 08 for PC is (even though is only available used) is a much better value. There are web sites in which one can download a small free installer program and a multitude of free add-on courses including 2 versions of Augusta National and the Par 3 courses.

Adobe CS5.5 Production Premium Review

(More customer reviews)Using Adobe Design software since version 2.0. I love the software. With that said, the .5 increase from 5.0 should have been a free upgrade. Not enough new material to justify charging. Also, Premiere is still the weak link in the products. Too many crashes and doesn't compare to Final Cut Pro. Everything else is top notch.

(More customer reviews)Avast -- maybe half as_ed is a more accurate name. I downloaded this FREE software and now cannot find anyone who can tell us how to uninstall it.
They say that a renewal will cost $19.99 then find that it really costs more, if I remember correctly. Anyway this stuff is poison!
These guys are rip-off merchants. For sure.
Amazon needs to have a "ZERO" star rating for merchants like these.

Toast 11 Titanium Pro Mac Review

(More customer reviews)I was hoping this might actually be an improvement over the dire Toast 10. I've been using Toast 9 since realizing Toast 10 was a disaster. Unfortunately, version 11 is just a more bloated, flashier-looking can of worms and I'm about to run a clean install to make sure every trace of this hiccup-ridden software is removed from my system. By the way, if you were hoping that Roxio has fixed the crossfade function (that way back used to be the excellent JAM but is now a mess), the answer is it is still the same as in Toast 10. For those who are aware of the audible click-inducing problems of 10 in that respect, there's no need to try out 11 - they've done nothing to correct it. Disgraceful.
