(More customer reviews)The other reviewer is right about the help file. It's not included for some reason but it's fairly easy to use. If you have just the basic computer knowledge, you can find your way around. I bought mine back in 1999 after I bought my windows 98 second edition but it has been sitting around and this is the first time I ever use it. I runs fine on windows xp service pack 2. You do need to install it, not like some other programs that runs off the cd and needs microsoft words to open. Make sure you restart the computer after installation and before using otherwise it might freeze. In other words, it's a sufficient program that runs by itself and you only need a printer. Any printer will work but I recommend laser jet because ink jet tends to smudge or smear.

You either click or double click to get to where you want. When you open the form you want, the whole form is mostly filled out. All you do is to put the information that fits your need. The green texts can be explained by double clicking on it. The red texts is the information that you type in like name, addresse, date, etc. When you want to save it, you can click on the floppy disk icon or click file - save. At default, it will name it *.law so you need to remove the asterisk and create you own name. Just remember if you made modifications to the file later and you want to save it as another file, don't click the floppy disk icon because that will overwrite the previous file. Instead, click file - save as and name it something else. I like to do mine in sequence like contract.law, contract1.law, contract2.law, etc. If you want to go back to the form list simply click on the back button on the bottom right tab. If you haven't saved the previous file it will ask you if you want to save it.
This program is very easy to use. It's much easier to use compare to microsoft words or nero burning rom. I have high computer experience so I just use other programs as comparison so other viewers know what I'm talking about. My only gripe is that I counted it only has 89 different forms and letters total. Just look over above to see if the forms has what you need. Just remember it does not have the help file. However, it does have the business law topics that looks like a help file by explaining the law a little more in detail. Just click on file - business law topics or you can click on business law tab in the main menu. There's a table of content and you can click on what topic you want. I think for an average user, the living will, wills, and power of attorney alone is worth more than the cost of the cd many times over. If you don't have a will and you die, chances are the city is going after your properties and assets. Your spouse and children is gonna have to fight probate court and that can drag on for years. Simplify things for your love ones and make it legit.
I'm not sure if there's a newer version of this. It's by MySoftware ProVenture and it's version 1.0. I think MyAttorney might be related to this but I don't have it yet so I can't comment on it. The author warns that this software is for reference only. I you have any doubt you should consult a real attorney if money is not an issue.
