This is the closest thing to the real thing, unmatched by any other program hands down. If you are seeking a career in air traffic control and want to experience what it is like, this is the best and cheapest way to do that. Because this software is so accurate, it is used by a number of universities across the country. The list includes, Auburn, Indiana, Purdue, Middle Tennessee State, University of North Dakota, Ohio University and students of Embry-Riddle University. This software has also been used for research at MIT. The other review here discrediting the software because of speech recognition is completely bogus and libelous. This program is not a speech recognition program. This program SUPPORTS speech recognition capability, but that technology is created and provided by Microsoft. It is another means of input for using the program, but by no means is it the ONLY way of input. It is cool when SR works, but this is NOT what this program is about. This program is a depiction of real air traffic control equipment. This program also contains historically accurate flight plans of over 100,000 flights that were captured from the FAA flight computer system.
