(More customer reviews)After using Diskeeper Premier Pro Version 10 for nearly a year, I didn't think there was anything they could do to improve upon it. I was wrong. The key change is the constant background defragging -- they call it :Invisitasking Technology." This version of Diskeeper (the less expensive ones do not include this feature) defrags in the background using only resources not used by other applications, utilities, etc. The result is that in the 2 weeks I've been using the free trial version of this, I haven't had to run a manual defrag even once. In fact, they have removed the scheduling feature -- you can't schedule defrags any more because there is simply no need for scheduling them. And there is absolutely no performance hit! An incredible piece of software -- and I rarely write that.

Camedia Master Pro 4.0 Review

(More customer reviews)This is much more user friendly than the software, original Camedia, that came with my camera. It actually supports my camera, which the earlier version did not, so pictures download right from the camera. It is much easier to print out, save, and email pictures now. I am sure it does lots of things I haven't even discovered, but so far I am very happy with it. Much improved.

Nevertheless, even some of the biggest names in removing spyware like McAfee and Norton's Systemworks programs, really don't actually do the job they are programed to. It does become a problem from time to time. Nevertheless, I tried to look at other options, but they just couldn't find ways to elimate adware that still sneaks into your computer, and clogs up your internet connections. When I stumbled on Intermute's SpySubtract Pro from the internet, I really looked like I hit the nail on the head, and I did find the right one.
SpySubtract Pro, really is one of the hardest programs into filtering spyware,and adware based pop-up programs. The software is very simple, and really digs very deep into your computer to find even the toughest spyware big names like McAfee, Norton, and even Webroot's Spy Sweeper programs couldn't even take out. It really works very well at filtering out those parasites and makes your internet connection a whole lot faster and safer. I stumbled on a trial download from another one of Intermute's programs, AdSubtract Pro. The software even shows you all the internet websites trying to clog your web search including such spyware and adware sites like abetterintranet.com, shopathome.com, and many others that actually find ways to steal your identity. Thankfully, they can definitely be safeguarded away from here.
While there are just so many that really say they do the job, Intermute really got it exactly right. The SpySubtract Pro is the only software you'll need against adware and spyware. This is one piece of software that I absolutely suggest for anybody.

Zonealarm Pro 2009 Review

(More customer reviews)The first time you start ZoneAlarm after you install it, it phones home by opening up a web page with all sorts of tracking and profiling information about you and your computer. It sends the install key, then it sends stats about what you have installed, and of course your computer IP. It doesn't ask whether it may do this and it bypasses all its locks in order to do it. Neat trick for a program someone has just bought to lock down spyware isn't it?
After that it proceeds to make Vista completely unstable. Explorer crashes when I enter "v" on the start menu. ZA and Adobe Version Cue don't work well together apparently. There is a persistent bug lasting back two versions where it thinks every program is trying to access the dns port of random servers. e.g. notepad.exe will apparently want to access port 53 of cnn.com if that's what you accessed last.
The expert firewall rules don't work. After adding a rule to allow all dns requests, you still get the popups every time.
Another new bug with 2009: if you want to have ZA ask every time you start a program (e.g. firefox.exe) previously it would ask once and then never again till you restart it. Now ZA will pop up a request popup every few minutes.
Sometimes apps just lose their network connection. One minute it can see the network, the next moment it loses it, while other apps keep on working.

Paint Shop Pro 7 Anniversary Edition Review

(More customer reviews)Although this version is no longer on the market, I feel that it's a wonderful edition - especially for someone who is not especially photo editing-software savvy. Paint Shop Pro 7 is very user friendly, and so much easier to figure out than the new Photoshop software. It not only comes with a very informative instruction book, but the software also offers random tips of the day and other help topic options.
Personally, I love making signature banners and personalized designs with it. I download the pics, select the colors, effects and fonts, and the sky's the limit! I'm so glad that I was able to find a used copy in very good condition here on Amazon.com! Newer software may be more advanced and intricate, but in my opinion, newer isn't necessarily better. Paint Shop Pro 7 Anniversary Edition ROCKS!
