(More customer reviews)I owned Acrobat 6.0 in the past and during one of my updates lost ability to print PDF files and had to go through a bunch of hoops to fix the problem. I eventually had to uninstall the update (which was not easy) and ignore the constant messages to update the product.
I had problems with installing Acrobat 8.0 as well. The solution is:
1. Extract adobepdf.dll from data1.cab on Acrobat 8 setup disk and place it on your hard drive so you will know where it is during the set up when it is requested.
2. Install the patch from adobe from http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/detail.jsp?ftpID=3661
Once I did these, set up was okay, but it took me too long to find these solutions. Hopefully next time, I'll remember to buy an Acrobat alternative and save myself the headaches.
